Schnappi das Kleine Krokodil

I figured since it was an unusual track I played on Saturday, I would post a bit more information about Schnappi Das Kleine Krokodil. "Schnappi das Kleine Krokodil" was the #1 hit in Germany, beating out Kylie Minogue on the charts. The song by 6 year-old Joy became a huge club hit as well with the remixes of the track.

To get it, I actually had to have my friend studying in Germany bring back a copy of the single.

Schnappi does have an official website: www.schnappi.tv but it is all in German so it can be difficult if you don't know any Deutsch. But according to the site you can get some of the Schnappi tracks via the Itunes Music Store.

Apparently Schnappi now has a full album out called Schnappi Und Seine Freunde and a new single about a lama in Japan. And if that wasn't weird enough...there is also a Metal cover of "Schnappi das Kleine Krokodil" by Swedish Metal Humor artisit Black Ingvars. With Rammstein like vocals, I am now on the hunt to find a copy of it to play on the Weekend Morning Show.
